The Many Milestones & Achievements of 2023
2023 was a pivotal year for Membee with many improvements and changes for the better. This year marks an incredible milestone for us at Membee, one to save for the books with 9 major accomplishments. Join us on our yearly recap to reflect on our significant achievements.
When we started 2023, we knew there were big things coming – and wow, did they happen!
If it was any coincidence, this was the year where everything that could happen decided to happen all at once. While some changes are front-facing and known by our users, some are focused on improving our internal processes. We’re sharing 9 major accomplishments in the grandious 2023!
A New Support System
March 2023
The support system is the home for our client services team. It housed various different resources that you may have come across:
If you ever connect with our client services team, you know that the support system is a crucial piece for us to assist you with all of your needs and inquiries.
The transition to the new system, Freshdesk, was largely internal but it streamlined many processes in our client services team and allowed us to better assist you.
Live chat became easier to access and we were able to increase & keep our chat hours more consistent.
Since The New Support System in March 2023…
New Email Campaign System
May 2023
Add another change to the internal process. It may seem minor, the transition to a new email campaign system improved our ability to communicate with all of our users more effectively. This included announcements, holidays, latest buzz notices, etc.
The tools in the new system allow us to keep you and your team up to date with the latest about Membee with confidence.
Data Migration to Amazon Web Services (AWS)
August 2023
Our data centre infrastructure migrated from Pivotree to Amazon Web Services (AWS), a world-leading data center. The physical data remains housed in Canada.
The transition to AWS introduced new hardware, software, and database technology that further future-proofed Membee.
This allowed us to unlock advanced data and hardware technologies that would support new capabilities that we were, have, and are developing.
While we’ve been reaping the benefits of the updated infrastructure already, there’s plenty more to come in 2024.
37 Clients Joined The Beta Testing For The New Interface
August 2023
These 37 client organizations volunteered to join a beta testing group. Their engagement included completed weekly tests and feedback to help us shape the advanced interface to what it is today.
We would like to extend our thank you and gratitude to all our formal beta testers and their commitment to Membee.
Interactive Tours: Revolutionary In-App Help
August 2023
If you’ve upgraded to the new interface, you may be familiar with the interactive tours that will help guide you step by step to understand the concept of a feature. For example, editing your personal email signature.
We had a team dedicated to the research, selection, and content development for this new in-app support, helping you learn about workflows and how-tos in the system in a hands-on methodology.

New Support Site
August 2023
As the way you work within the advanced interface is different than the classic version you may be familiar with, we’ve taken the opportunity to build a new support site.
The design, content insertion, and the launch of the new support site came alongside the advanced interface and will be a tremendous resource for all our users for years to come. The new support site is hosted using a Membee Complete site, providing much more flexiblity options and allows us to future-proof the support site.
Released an Advanced Interface
September 2023
This was the most pivotal update in 2023!
The design, development, testing, and launch of the advanced interface, all done with the latest technologies, was released in September with the first sign ups starting in mid-October.
The advanced interface was the first stage to modernizing Membee’s membership system, allowing you to easily view a list of your members or non-members, consolidate how you see their information, fully personalize the data you see and work with, an enhancement to notes and tasks, and many more customization options.
Redesigned Logo: The Bee in Our Hearts
September 2023
The little bee always had a fond spot in all of our hearts for nearly 15 years. Not too worry, we’re still the same team, system, and everything or anything else you can name.
It was time to take a step in the right direction and modernize the Membee logo. While our little bee friend has been freely buzzing away from the hive, we won’t bee stopping with the bee puns anytime soon.

A Full Makeover of the Marketing Site at membee.com
September 2023
To better represent who we are, what we do, and the membership management system to prospective clients, we enhanced our marketing site at membee.com. It is strategically modernized to make it easy for visitors to find the information they need and getting in touch with us.
The new marketing site uses the same website capabilities in Membee Complete used by our clients, demonstrating the many features available.

What’s In Store For 2024?
These 9 major areas were developed and completed in 2023, allowing us to fly into 2024 with more front-facing improvements and enhancements to come!
While the first stage of our advanced interface was released, you can anticipate that we will be tackling more interface updates in the coming year!
