Learn how to manage the details for your event! This includes the event date/time, description, location, capacity, and categorization.
Adding the Basics of your Event
Name
This is the name of the event. Updating the “Name” field will automatically change the name within Membee and on your website.
Header
The header can contain the event name and/or an image. This content displays at the very top of the event when viewed online. There are three options that you can select from:
- Name only
- Header image only
- Header image and name
Begins
This is the date/time that the event starts. If your event does not have a specific start date (for example, if you’re setting up an ongoing sponsorship event), then you can leave this blank.
Ends
This is the date/time that the event starts. If your event does not have a specific end date (for example, if you’re setting up an ongoing sponsorship event), then you can leave this blank.
Time zone
Here you can select the time zone that the event’s “Begins” and “Ends” date will display in. This will ensure that the event will be added to the purchaser’s calendar correctly if they click the “Add to calendar” option on the event page.

Creating a Description
The “Description” field allows you to display information for the event that is important to encourage registration. The advanced editor can be used to easily format the description.
Setting the Location/Address
It’s a best practice to enter the address details for an event. Purchasers will be able to easily see where the event will take place and it will also allow a map showing the location to appear on the event registration page.
Location
If you have events that frequently happen at the same place, you can save the address details as a new event location. Once the event location is saved, you can quickly select it in this field when creating a new event!
Address
If the location of the event isn’t saved (for example, an event will only be hosted at this location once), you can type in custom address details.
